Leicester vs WBA - Match Thread

Hmm! lots of interesting views here after a good draw last night. I also watched the SS highlights and have to say we did ride our luck a little bit with our cross bar being rattled twice and some right place right time saves by Ben.
On the players I thought Foster was immense last night those who feel he didn't deserve his place back immediately should watch his performance last night He certainly prevented us losing this one as the commentator said there may have been a bit of luck in some of the saves but that was because he got his positioning spot on.
Ollsson: I do like the guy he always tries 100% and seems to really care but he is jeckyll and hyde It looked like he decided to keep everything simple last night but one header that actually went backwards into our 6 yard box made my hair stand on end Mr Hyde. Several strong headers or row z clearances however, Dr Jeckyll.
Sessegnon: Seems to be growing stronger and more skillful with each game the ball sticks to his feet he often comes out of challenges by two or three players with the ball and delivers some great crosses our best attacking midfielder by a mile and yes that challenge was vulgar at best and leg breaking career ending at worst. It's very sad he got the yellow card for complaining because he was in the right to complain.
Rondon: Like Sess he's starting to show the promise. He's starting to score and is very strong, this recent formation seems to suit his game and was pretty much the formation i mentioned several weeks back with him up top and berahino in the number 10 role to pick up loose balls, scraps, passes etc.
Berahino: The catalyst. I know many of you are anti Pulis but this talented kid was as i mentioned months ago a real thorn in our side I believe he is the reason we struggled and i believe he was a big factor in why Pulis was forced to adopt a bus parked mentality? Don't get me wrong because as Jamie Redknapp said on SNF TP will always be a defence minded manager however when you have talent up top which TP had with Palace he has the added bonus of being able to counter teams on the break and be somewhat more attack minded. JR also said Saido is such a talent but he needs to stop and think about what he wants and if its pastures new with a so called bigger team then he needs to cut out the childish nonsense and get back to getting fit and playing his best football at WBA now. Its no coincidence to me that we do seem to be on an upward curve (more on that later)
Gardener: No more criticism please otherwise i'll invite you to the naughty chair and this is my naughty chair https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judas_cradle :-) This guy may not be the most gifted player at the club but all I see is like Ollsson 100% commitment, passion and desire and a couple of massive, massive goals lately.
If that had been Beckham taking that free kick it would have been hailed as god like.
Yacob: shame about the yellow cards but thats the risk and he will never change, nor should he.
Dawson: is he or is he not a right back. Well, no not really but I think he of all our out of position defenders is doing a pretty fine job there and may adapt to this role and be very good at it.

Now for some facts: last 6 matches form guide places WBA 7 in the table http://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/comp...e-and-away
We've only lost 2 out of last 10 prem matches

I still believe losing Dan Ashworth was the biggest nail in our coffin. JP has recognised that at least and there is talk of getting someone in now that can hopefully restore that Knack of finding quality signings on our budget level. According to the gossip JP has been in talks with TP about this so sorry to all the anti Pulis folks but it seems like he may well be here next season and I don't see that as being as negative as others here. I concede i have been as frustrated as many of you about some of our performances and i do feel sorry for the season ticket holders that have had to endure some horrible games. I live in London and my meagre wages means I only get to see us on TV which is a very different view from being on the terraces. Anyway as I mentioned above I think were finding a bit of form and I think a lot of that is due to Saido finally screwing his head on straight, giving TP the option to play a stronger squad and better formations, albeit in his style of defence comes first.
I truly believe IMO if were going to improve on TP then it would be with someone like Moyes or Rodgers they have premiership experience and have worked on smaller budgets. who knows? but i'd be wary of making yet another change just now and I think we urgently need that recruitment nouse back that we had with DA so we can give TP a chance with better quality signings. I think we need to find at least two defenders LB and RB two goalscorers and two creative attacking midfielders as our primary motive

Final thought: who would have thought going to Leicester and getting a draw would have caused so much interest in the sports news and got us on screen 1 of match choice. Hilarious really :-) god bless the media
