There comes a point where you are just arguing for the sake of it ffs. He told the lawyer it had been paid back,it was later found out to be untrue. A lie.

Anybody could buy the oldco out of liquidation. At the point were the liquidator declares that they have realised all possible income and distributed to the creditors an offer can be made for the company.
