I feel for Baggies fans who went through their own personal mills, but that week last year was utterly predictable and I can honestly say I wrote it off pretty quickly. Foster made a mistake in that first game at a critical time, yes, but my overriding emotion was anger that we lost the two matches by not being more assertive and that we failed to take our chances, and we allowed a struggling team to dig themselves out of a hole. We just had no killer instinct. After the drubbing at Southampton, I have no idea what approach Tony Pulis or Albion will adopt on Saturday, still less idea about Villa's confidence, but a home defeat against a side nailed on for relegation just has to be avoided. It's time to start scoring goals and stop f****** up at the back.
