I think you've answered my query, MS. But, I'm with dubai. In the real world, Orwellian principles still apply. As a scientist, I also believe in survival of the fittest. I can see why CC did what he did but I just don't agree with him.

Just basic good management. If he hadn't given contracts to so many then the key players may not have signed. Also we would have a divided squad chasing promotion and that inevitably means failure.
