Destroyed Jamie Lowry's career and didn't have an eye for young talent. Other than signing his mates son (Jr Waddle) who was poor (am being polite Dev) I cant honestly remember him giving many a chance. Relied on loans to keep us up and that was his downfall.
Thanks for the 1 season JS, I personally would never want to see him back with us. What makes a good manager? IMO he just wasn't one. On the touchline he was obnoxious at times and had as much charisma in interview as a plank of wood. On second thoughts am doing the plank of wood a disservice. His constant vitriol against Lowry was embarrassing.
If it was as is alleged, the drink at the time, then good luck to him and Oldham. Am not sure though, maybe he was just a miserable so and so.
