Morning All,
Do not really see much in this, other than AI trying to Gee Saido up after him not being selected for the full England squad, but left to play in the U21's, where,IMO, he should be at the moment until he proves himself as consistent and able to take the rough with the smooth.
It was not so long ago that he looked as if fame and fortune was going to send him over the edge into self destructive obscurity.
He appears to have put that behind him, but there is a long way to go until big clubs will pay big money for a still unproven top flight performer.
Also, there is nothing wrong in saying that if a bid came in, it would have to be a good one, Saido would have to want to go, and nobody would accuse him of anything if he was genuinely bettering himself.
We have to be honest, we aint no Arsenal, Man City or Chelsea, and if one of them, or a big foriegn club were to make an appropriate bid, he would have some serious thinking to do. Here, he will be guarenteed to play if on form, but going to a BIG club may mean he sits on the bench a lot, and may pass into well paid obscurity.
The Mirror seem to scandalise everything they print, so take it all with a big pinch of salt, and here's hoping Saido keeps on going the way he is, then the headache of possibly losing him may be more real.
Cheers,
Kookiebags.
