I don't think he's lying - I think he's saying that the players who haven't been getting first team football (listed) have been training alone to keep themselves fit.
In my opinion, this 'alone' training is extra training.
Victor's quote is trying to make him and his colleagues look like good professionals and that they're going the extra mile to stay fit. The word 'alone' is used in a context to suggest it's their decision to do extra training rather than coaching staff. In typical journo fashion, the word 'alone' has been spun to make it sound like these players aren't training with the first team - which I'm pretty certain will not be the case.
Nowhere in Victor's interview has he mentioned that he's been 'frozen out', 'training with the kids' or anything similar like we've seen before with Odemwingie. From what I've seen under Pulis, the players always put a shift in and always know their job. So I'd be gobsmacked if players who are regularly in the match day squad are just left to their own devices in training.
