i'm confused as tae why folk on here seem tae regard the expression HUN as sectarian. as far as can remember it was used tae describe the behaviour o' rangers fans [Attila the hun] and has got absolutely f#uck all tae dae wi' sectarianism. so tae use the whitabootery BUT YOUSE CA' US HUNS in defence o' yer ain bigoted chants is quite frankly bullshit

It's clearly a pejorative term only used to describe one particular section of society - one which is perceived as predominantly Protestant.

The fact there are people unable to see it as such - and try to justify its continued us - is part of the problem.

i'm a protestant and I've never been called a hun in ma puff, I wid suggest its less tae dae wi' being a protestant or any form o' sectarianism and more tae dae wi' a name that rangers fans have brought on themselves,i.e. behaving like rampaging huns. I wid also suggest that rangers fans are propagating the idea that use of the term hun is sectarian to somehow justify,intheir twisted minds, their own vile outporings o' bigotry
