MeandBren, I disagree about the Coaches. Players these days, without motivation, can become like mercenaries.
The Coach's main job is to instil some fight and togetherness in his squad of players. If you're lucky you'll get 3 or 4 lads who have some pride, and it's the Coach's job to get the other dozen or so to join in. The Coach should get the senior pros to convert the mercenaries, if you like.
I thought this was one of Pulis' main strengths, but team spirit has been poor all season (apart from the previous 3 or 4 games).
