I think they will give up on this season as regards the league and make an appointment during the summer when there will be more candidates available. I am surprised it took them this long, PL teams don't normally wait that long these days!!!
As for Mourinho, if I was him I would sit tight and wait until LVG gets fired from the MU job and then take that one and prove himself all over again. LVG to me is doing only an ok job at MU, but with the money he has spent they should be doing much better than they currently are. Let Giggs go to Swansea to learn the managers role and get the Special One in until either he or Gary Neville are ready to come back.
