I'm sure he CAN'T be as good as I think he is though - but if he's only half of that then that'll be fantastic!
Tactically, I suppose he'd be classed as more of a wing back than a full back - would this mean we'd play with 3 across the back and Gamboa would be in front of them? Would this then mean that we'd be changing formation - cos I can't see AI doing that ATM??
.....on 2nd thoughts though, wouldn't it be good to change line ups and confuse the enemy a tad??
If Gamboa comes into the side, it will be as a normal right back which is what his main position is. He has always been a right back in club football. It is only for Costa Rica where he is used as a wing back and even with them, they haven't always been a team playing with 3 centre halves and 2 wing backs. Their current coach interchanges between the back 3 with wing backs and a normal back 4. The coach before him did the same as well.
I think if he is brought into the side, he will definitely cause Liverpool problems especially if they play a narrow diamond. It could end up being a very interesting battle for attacking supremacy between Gamboa and Alberto Moreno.
