Specifically - Young players like Kyle Dempsey and Jordy Hiwula have been bought to develop because the club’s own Academy is not producing for the first team at the moment.
Mind you, in almost the same breath he said this too - “With Alex Smithies, if he agrees terms, then the deal we negotiated hard up to near £2m will provide money to be reinvested.
“The revolving door policy will never stop. We have to have player transfers to ease the financial burden, but as long as we keep on reinvesting at the same time then that’s good for the club."
