I partly agree with you Wakey and others that it was the football, but Powell wasn't responsible for a total and utter bunch of clowns that set the match day prices and are also driving people away. £38 for the last home match??? Who dreamt that one up? We met one guy walking away from the ground in disgust who had taken two busses to get there. He only had £30 and change left in his pocket and was off back home in disgust. We offered him the extra change but he wouldn't have it. Another supporter lost.
If the 'special offer' isn't/wasn't going too well for Saturday's match before Powell got the push, who's fault is that? Some folk won't come because it is Leeds and don't want the potential hassle. Others don't want to be on Town's database and why should they? So no encouragement at all for walk-up fans most of the time.
