I'm pretty certain he was sacked because the club was losing support which means income was down.
Powells brand of football had already turned supporters away from attending by the end of last season and with every game that passed he lost more and more of the fans. I think the club could see the writing on the wall...defeat to Leeds on Saturday and the manager would be in the same position as Mark Robins v Bournemouth at the start of last season...no support what so ever
