A good point but it should have been three. No fault of ours, solely down to the incompetence of the match officials. Two straight red cards, one penalty. How did they all possibly fail to see what everyone else in the ground did. You can always tell from the reaction of the other team whether or not they have committed the foul and that horrible dirty twat Hill had it written all over his face. Konchesky made the challenge on Joao and looked straight at the linesman and then at the ref, he knew he was nowhere near the ball.
QPR had their spells, that's to be expected, but we made all the changes and still competed with a side full of supposed Premier League players.
Loovens was outstanding, Wiggins and Semedo looked like they'd been in the side all season. Palmer returned and added defensive ability in the RB slot. Nuhiu was a constant menace and a handful all night, although he never looked like scoring. Such a massive frustration that the only thing that stopped us coming away with a superb away victory was the referee and his assistants. I've never seen CC so animated on the touch line, you could feel his frustration in the stand.
Westwood 7 - One great save, never under pressure.
Palmer 7 - Solid and reliable on his return.
Lees 7 - Early season worries have disappeared.
Loovens 8 - Collosal performance, looked like a player fighting for his shirt.
Wiggins 8 - Best game in a Wednesday shirt. Again, looked determined to keep the shirt.
Sougou 6 - Another victim of Clint Hill's thuggery. Hope he's ok
Semedo 8 - This guy will never let us down. Doesn't have Hutch's talent on the ball but he's got his heart, without the naivety.
Magugan 7 - Our most creative influence in the first half. Faded after the break.
Bannan 6 - A bit off his game again, I'd rest him at Rotherham. Missed a great chance in stoppage time.
FF 5 - Never in the game. Off at HT, was he carrying a knock?
Nuhiu 7 - Hussled and bustled and never got a sniff from the incompetent clown in black.
Subs - Wallace 6, Lee 6, Joao 7.
Hopefully we haven't come away with two many knocks apart from the obvious injury to Sougou. More decisions for CC for Friday, I can't wait.
