I don't think it would be fair on Australia to touch the match result as it wasn't their doing, but this should be used to highlight some significant issues that exist in Rugby Union that could be rectified. The refereeing and review of ref performances has been highly suspect to me for a long time, while the proliferation of penalties for infractions that often amount to minor and accidental rule breaches is too much of a determining factor in matches.
I agree with pretty much everything Devongone said, with the game being allowed to evolve into little more than interchangeable slabs of meat slamming into one another while the ref gives marginal calls to decide the outcome.
