Brentford were very big on statistical analysis regarding player performances and opposition strengths and weaknesses. This type of analysis is common over here, particularly in baseball where Billy Bean (Moneyball movie) at the Oakland Athletics has used this sort of analysis to some success for years. As more and more information becomes available I think we will see more of this being used and more importantly listened to as well. Rangrs will be ahead of the curve on this going forward, others will catch up, but for now I would imagine it will give them another edge over other teams in the Championship but I assume it is being set up to better cope with the prem once you get there.
