Disappointed on the balance of play we didnt get something more than 1 point, some awful decision making by Caliper Miller and Bunny - we broke freely 4-5 times first half shot weekly or over hit the cross.
Felt for some weeks Scanz is some way off his best and think the same today, Huddy was solid in defense, the aussie started wobbly but got going, I like Crainey at RB very steady, committed, Deano was allover Huws not so influential.
Ipswich were awful first 45 and we really missed a trick. 2nd half McGoldrick came on and they ticked, threw Murphy on and you just knew they couldnt be as bad. Thankfully Steer made a couple of excelllent saves at the death, Bet Lynch prodded over from within the 6 yard box and 0-0 everyone went home frustrated.
JV, well the announced 395 town fans had provided superb backing from before the kick off and were calling for Jimmy Vaughans introduction well before 70 mins, rapturous applause when they wheeled him on. I cant comment on the sending off not seen it, the ball went out next thing he was off, but he's a coiled spring, Ipswich knew it and he's done himself no favours at all. They werent really talking about his dismissal on Radio Suffuk Mick Mills was almost suicidal about the performance and I had to turn over once Dynamic Mick had done his 5.30 interview and rolled out all the excuses. He described as as 'no mugs' and Miller had 'premiership experience' - I wish !
Parked by the station, straight out didnt quite merit a 2 minute stay behind applause, yep pleased to have got something from one of the more testing away days, by car, coach or rail for the average fan.
