I know they always say don't mix tyres but I always assumed that meant on the same axle!!  Surely if you are going to have the same tyre on each end of the axle it will be fine, especially as its likely to be just for a month.

It's all a bit confusing   I could afford to replace all four with "budget" tyres this month, which would be new tyres all round but do I really want them ? No. I'd rather spread the cost to buy the more recommended, and expensive, brands.

Unless someone knows any different about "budget" tyres.  Are the alternatives any good and is it just scaremongering from the big manufacturers  

 I do enjoy getting surprised by the so called cheap stuff on offer at Lidl
