Anyway, I've got my earplugs in ready for Imre's response
Over here the PC brigade take it upon themselves to tell you what you are offended about, saves you the hassle of actually making that decision yourself!!!But it was pretty clear cut in this case anyway, so when Imre comes back on I am sure he will be fine with the minor amendments I made!!
Don't you find that offensive in itself though Chaz ? Regardless of what Imre typed.
Flucking sick and tired of being told what I'm allowed to think and sayWe're sleepwalking into an Orwellian society
I hate it to the point where i want to rebel against it!! Don't get me wrong, most offensive things are generally obviously offensive and we all know what they are but I am sometimes stunned at what some politician or tv personality or pop star gets accused and berated for saying because someone says its offensive and we should therefore all be offended. It has got to the point here that no matter what you sometimes say its classed as offensive to someone!! The one that pisses me off the most is the move here to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas in case that offends non-Christians or African American or Jews. Now I am not at all religious but how could anyone ever be offended by someone wishing them a Merry Christmas, it is only ever said as a nice gesture!! I certainly would not be offended if a Jewish person said Happy Hanukkah to me. A lot of the time its the context that is missing or ignored and that is the problem.
