Our toddler Baggie had to mark a difficult-sounding opponent. How did he do?
When things are tough, why don't we put on Gnanduillet, he's unusual, strong and difficult to read ....... just the sort of player defenders who are feeling the need to push forward feel nervous about?
On an apparent 33% share of the game we scored 3, how many might we have got had we pushed forward a little more?
Well because Talbot got sent off the Fitzwater guy came on for Gboly and we played like a 4-4-1 but in the second half was more like an 8-0-1. Fitzwater was ok he got beat a few times.
Well when Harrison came on for Novak, Harrison was winning the headers and holding up the ball and he had a great 1 on 1 with the keeper but the keeper outfoxed him. Harrison looked good maybe the two goals in the reserves mid-week has boosted his confidence because I think he could play a vital role. It was the sort of game you needed to play 4-4-2 with Harrison or Mani upfront with Armand.
You could tell Colchester came with a game plan and a plan to get one of our players sent off which they succeeded because most of there players were going down when they hadn't been touched and when a Chesterfield player was fouled the referee gave a few of the free kicks to Colchester which was odd.
The red card changed the game Dev. If Talbot hadn't been sent off the game might have been a little different and we might have won because Talbot was playing pretty well till the referee gave that decision. Once we were down to ten men Colchester sort of forced us into parking the bus which was annoying because the referee was like there 12th man. I suppose a draw was a fair result seeing as we played with 10 men for the majority of the match, if Colchester had won it would have been a kick in the teeth.
At the minute I would say we are going through a bad patch of unluckiness what with injuries and with officials.
