The one player I feel sorry for is Wells, who is being asked to perform an almost impossible task all alone up front.  I wouldn't mind if he was built like a brick shithouse, but no, he's only 5'-7" at most and weighs in at around 10.5 Stones wet through, so what chance has he got of playing such a role?  

Surely, if you are going to play someone in this role he needs to be a six foot plus bruiser with plenty of meat on him, otherwise forget it.  I also believe the club are being very unfair to Wells by asking him to play this lone striker role and it's no wonder he looked out of his depth and uninterested at times last Saturday.  

So come on Powell, wake up and at least put a "bruiser" alongside him, just like Bradford did with Hanson and I'm sure the goals will start flowing for him again.  

I had one fella and his Mrs sat behind me at Bellend Rd and he was saying Wells is shit and a waste of money, I wasn't having any of that so asked him who he would have on in his place...Jon Stead was his answer because apparently he can win headers and hold the ball up....all this whilst admitting that he knew Stead wasn't good enough for the Championship but was a better option than Wells.
They obviously didn't agree with me and my mate and disappeared for a drink...funny thing is they never returned to their seats for the whole of the second half which is a shame really because when Stead missed that clear chance I'd have liked to have seen his face and asked him if he still thought the same as at half time
