Watched, on the edge of my seat.......drinking my Drambuie. What was obvious is a lack of any pace, so hopefully the new recruits will help with this. Just looking at all the other teams from the weekend, there was an abundance of pacey players. We have them, BUT, the usual preference to play players out of position will cost us this season. Crying out for the usual left and right back, Christ, sagna spent most of the match attacking.....having the usual 3 centre backs trying to act as a left back will not happen or help. The midfield, albeit a few nice touches looked powder puff, however, compared to Yaya and the rest of the City midfield this was to be expected. McClean was booed every time he touched the ball, not a great confidence booster.....the defence looked scared every time they attached, thank god for yacob, he is a right terrier, yes picks up a yellow and the odd red, but does show commitment. Watford is a very important game now, especially with Chelski the week after !!
