I think when you use "Preview Post" option, right in the bottom left somewhere it gives the option to upload a file/attachment with your post. That should do it!

That might work but it does have a file size limitation.  I use Tinypic.com, choose or take the photo, upload it and copy and paste the HTML for Websites link.  Then click on the insert a picture icon above, looks like a square to the left of the envelope above, and paste the URL in the box and voila it appears in the post!!  Here is one of my patio I just took!!
