Nostalgia is not what it used to be.

Joking aside. it is a dreadful shame that he has behaved like this and I wish he had not. But young people (I am 50+ and so young covers a large mass) make strong bold statements which are mainly ill informed or not tempered with consideration of others and when they look back in time they'll wish they had not.

I certainly have made strong claims in my youth on fur trading, animal welfare, Unions (still hate them), Labour (still loathe them) and religion. Looking back, I upset many people (i my family and close) with my overly string views of the time - I wish I could go back and modify them.

Footballers mature very slowly and act like children for a much longer time. No surprise they do stupid things.
