As you say I have empathy with him over his stance regarding the poppy, and many people do not wear them for various reasons. But to completely disrespect the National Anthem of any country while living and benefitting from that country is for me too far!! No one is expecting him to pledge allegiance to the Queen or even stand there and belt out the words, but he should at least show some respect. What did he do for the US anthem when that was played, as it is at all sports events over here??
