1. Under no circumstances should we sell Scott Allan to a rival. As Alan Stubbs rightly says, he's under contract.
2. As for Celtic, Allan will just be a squad player with a few cameo appearances now and again as he's not yet a strong enough player. Fair enough, he's extremely skilful but he'll need to beef up a bit and do some of the donkey work that he can avoid at Hibs. He can't head the ball or tackle and he plays far too many hopeful balls into the channels and his head goes down far too easily when things aren't working out. There - that'll put them off!
Hibs will continue his improvement without undue pressure and nurture his promising career. He's better being a big fish in a little pond, than a little fish in a big pond. The tittle-tattle in the weegie press, no doubt approved of by the uglies, cannot be allowed to do damage to the prospects of a star in the making.
