Personally I have to give this lad his dues. He has not hidden his beliefs and that goes a long way. While we do not have to agree with the beliefs of others at least we can respect them if we know what they are.
I do wonder how many of the posts criticising McLean are politically motivated by extreme views from the other side.
At the end of the day if the people of N.I. can put the troubles behind them and get on better I think we too should learn the lesson, and yes I remember the Tavern in the Town and the Mulberry Bush as well as most, but are we really going to blame Mclean for something that happened 15 years before he was born? I find it sad that this lad is getting the grief he is when we should be asking can he fill a hole in the team and how well can he do it.
