I am intrigued by this 'new style of play'.
What is its source ?
Is it from Stuart McCall and/or Ian Durrant, with a long-term view to it being adopted by the first team, or is it an independent initiative from the Academy staff ?
Notwithstanding the possibility of a change of Manager, with possibly a consequent change of style of play, whatever style of play is adopted needs to be consistent throughout all levels at the Football Club.
Above all, it needs to be effective in getting results, entertaining (we do not want 'boring boring Rangers', do we ?!) and enacted by players comfortable with the style. The latter should be the case if, as I said, the style is consistent throughout all levels.
