After tonight's display TP has some thinking to do.
Why can't we do that every game? Is it asking too much?

He has inherited an average team.
I feared for the 'bus parking' for the foreseeable future but tonight was a masterclass.

He gets the best out of players and there was no hoofball tonight.

I agree with Stairs - it's a massive progress and this summer is the key.
I must admit I also share Tidy's worries but I expected a drubbing tonight and that performance gave me hope and a half. We were awesome.

That's very interesting....did we play SO differently last night because TP had briefed them differently and almost 'allowed' them to play a more expansive game? Surely it must have been something along these lines; if so, then it makes you (and hopefully  TP) wonder why the same players who have looked so average for months suddenly ALL played up to their full potential.

I really hope that TP has seen what the existing players can do against top class opposition when the shackles are removed. I'm not knocking the rigidity and focus he has instilled into our defensive game, but bloody well rejoicing that, for a change, the midfield and forward sections were allowed to flourish at the same time!!
