What happened to the Albion sale. I thought due diligence was underway?
If a buyer is looking for a club in the midlands and in the Prem then it's a straight choice between us and Villa. With all due respect, I can imagine that Villa would be a more attractive proposition.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot of money to be made from WBA.
Someone needs to explain to me what would make WBA an attractive propostion.
Smallest fan base of the 4 'big' West Mids clubs.
Smallest stadium
Already one of the best run clubs in the country
Massive risky investment required just to move us up a few places in the Prem
Investors are usually looking for a 'killing' and I just don't see that at the Albion.
- A play thing for a (very) rich man.
- Access to the Premiership.
- Guaranteed (reasonably) of being part of the Premiership for many years.
- Lower level of investment compared to bigger clubs but playing with the big boys
Example: My company decided it could not justify a box at one of the 'big' clubs to entertain clients and so bought a box at West Brom - no where near as expensive but were still able to entertain clients who wanted to see Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Spurs etc - just that they were playing away instead.
