Judging by the last few comments this isn't going to be a popular opinion...
I thought we were ok tonight, in fact I thought we put in a bloody good defensive shift. Prior to tonight's game we'd conceded 15 goals in just 6 league games...20 in all comps over 8 games.
We have to start somewhere, and that place IMO is defence and it's obviously Chris Powells thinking, I thought we were very solid as a defensive unit against a team that are no mugs and will finish top 8 this season.
I thought Hudson and Lynch put a real shift in and when Lynch went off Wallace stepped up to the mark.
In midfield Coady and Peltier did what was asked of them, ok this was at a cost of a bit of attacking flair but sometimes you have to make sacrifices. Even though we weren't that attacking I reckon you could argue that we had the better chances to win it.
What we desperately need right now is a target man(if playing 2 up top) who can hold the ball, challenge for the ball, win headers and a few free kicks(grant Holt) because unfortunately for Jon Stead he doesn't do enough of all that. Yes he huffed and puffed but I think most of us agree he isn't the answer
