Bloomfield Road
So it's the end of the season and our last match is away to Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. There's no end of season relegation scrap for either of us. We just about managed to turn our season around and come to this one having not lost in six. Blackpool have nothing to fight for except pride, having already ensured their drop to League One next season. Apart from the one year when they reached the holy grail of football, the Premier League, they have been in the Championship since winning promotion to it in 2007, having been led there by the master of such promotions, Simon Grayson. However, all that's in the past. There is much unhappiness at the club now. The owner and chairman are reputed to not get on. The owner is supposed to have money to spend but doesn't. Lots of fans are protesting regularly, even resorting to march from Bloomfield Road to watch AFC Blackpool instead of Blackpool v Leeds in March.
Only 1,500 Terriers will get to see this fixture. We could have sold more and I'm sure Blackpool could have allotted us more but wouldn't. Those of you who will be there will be able to cheer on the 2015 Pedal for Pounds team, who will have cycled from "Tower to Tower", having set off from Victoria Tower, Castle Hill on Friday to Blackpool Tower. They will then depart for home to the John Smith's Stadium after the match on Saturday.

As you'd expect from our charity-minded fans, some are going one step further and doing the Three Towers, starting from the Eiffel Tower, paying their respects to Town's fallen in WWI on their way to join the Tower to Tower ride.

Apart from Larry Grayson, we have both been managed by Stan Ternent and Lee Clark. Wor Lee is still there. Before next season, will he leave? Or will he be sacked? Or will he continue?
Whatever you think of wor Lee, we did have the unbeaten run of 43 games with him in charge. Regardless of the tendency to go for a draw to achieve it, you've got to admit it was an achievement? No?

Others in common are Sam Allardyce who managed them and played for us.
Steve Thompson has been caretaker manager twice at Blackpool, as well as Mark Robins' no 2 at Town. More famously has just been shown the door at Leeds, leaving Neil Redfearn to soldier on alone.

But, last but not least, my hero, Town's best ever defender and captain

Did you know?
Nelson's former flagship, the HMS Fouroyant, ran aground near the North Pier in 1897.

Now for a musical interlude ....
Like that one.

That was banned by the Beeb for having suggestive lyrics. If only they could see ahead to Frankie Goes To Hollywood. lol.
Who's ever heard that one?????
Sorry of that's not what you want from a match thread or if you had one planned. You should have spoken up, shouldn't you?
