Because there was no need for the irrelevant one-upmanship at the end of what was an otherwise good, on-point post.  Exchanging opinions is fair enough; making presumptions about the circumstances or plans of other posters is somewhat fatuous.  Hence that line being removed from the original post and from the subsequent quote in yours.

I'm sure there must be far more extreme examples of irrelevant one-upmanship on this site if one could be arsed to look for them.  I agree with Squirrel's contention and it is my opinion that not all the Albion critics on here attend matches.  It is my opinion that the deletion was a fairly arbitrary and footling action.  We're ok with opinions, aren't we?
