Actually they are consistent top 4, not top 5, and for me that is the problem!! The goal these days in the prem for the top teams is to finish in the top 4 and get CL football the following season. The League title is definitely diminished due to this and the real money and exposure for all these teams is there if they reach the group stages of the CL. Gone are the days when finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th was considered a let down unless the title race is very close!!
So to answer your question, the Arsenal board will keep Wenger on as long as he wants to do the job just like MU did with SAF. The risk of getting a Moyes in and not finishing in the Top 4 like MU did means they will settle for a top 4 finish and an occasional Cup final!!
