Must admit Ness was the great white hope for me, when he first broke into the team. The world at his feet, as they say. Then the lights shone a bit too brightly when we were stumbling in darkness, and off he went.
Crippled by injury for years, it's good to see him finally getting some games under his belt at Crewe Alexandria in League 1 - over 30 starts this season for them so far.
Difficult to dismiss the 'What Might Have Been' tag, though.
I thought highly of McCabe too, and see similarities with the playing style of young Murdoch just now. We need to learn from the mistakes of the past, as do the agents of these young players.
