Your last line is a good point Wellowlbe, in reality how many key decisions are the refs getting wrong anyway?? Most of the penalties that are given are the correct call and those that are debatable are just that, debatable. Even after replays over and over again, some of the penalty claims that are turned down by the ref and the ones given are still not 100% clear after replays are shown. At the end of the day a lot of what goes on in football on the field is based on an opinion, usually the refs opinion at the time of the incident, and I have not seen a ton of evidence to show that a lot of these are wrong decisions!!
