Well the scoreline didn't reflect the match, Larry, just our inadequacy in defence. Most annoying for me was that their opener came from yet another soft, pointlessly conceded free kick outside our box. Our players are so casual about conceding those as if it'll be no problem, yet we concede a goal pretty much every time.
On the plus side Walsh looked really good again and was involved in a lot of nice build up play and crossing, and Murdoch looks totally comfortable in the first team. Probably the first time in a while we've dominated a match and had the ball in forward areas a lot without Vuckic in the team. He could have added an extra goal threat and an avenue through the middle if he'd played. To be honest I thought we looked the part in most ways, but the defence is still shocking and that's badly inhibiting us. And at the other end the finishing is still crap. Challenging at both ends in the air is feeble so that's compounding the misery.
