Their bid was 48.5m!!!! The admin team had no choice but to accept it, it was three times bigger than any bid. I now assume part of the delay in December was the admin being sure proof of funds was provided before they granted exclusivity. Thankfully its not back to the drawing board in full, so still a chance we can get this done before the season ends. Also shows the admin team were being very prudent when they sold players, legally they could not stop the bid but maybe privately the needed to make sure the club could survive for the remainder of the season.
Storch group have said they are still keen, I assume Ashley will still be in and there are rumours of a third bid as well.
