Bord has his own analytics company, it was used at the Blades for their recruitment a few seasons back and they weren't impressed, apparently.

To be fair the Blunts should take the blame for it not working. Bord’s analytics company gave them 50 possible matches to the style and type of player they said they wanted, then the Blunts team decided who to buy from that list. Ultimately if any club is just going by analytics and not actually scouting or watching players then they deserve what they get.

Completely agree.
Scouting players cannot be reduced to figures and data on spreadsheets. It doesn't necessarily translate in the real world.
