Today's game reminded me of 1975 and What A Difference A Day Makes by Esther Phillips - 24 little hours. GBR Men's curlers demolished USA by 9-2 after only 6 ends played. After Norway and Italy were both beaten today, we now need one of them to be beaten tomorrow to qualify for the Semi-finals at 7pm tomorrow night. If both Norway and Italy win then GBR are out as both have won against us.
GBR Women won this morning by 8-7 against USA thanks to an absolutely fabulous last stone from Rebecca Morrison. Patsy would have been proud. Although we have only 3 wins so far, we play Japan and Italy tomorrow and need to win them both. Unfortunately, there are 5 teams above us that could also qualify, but we have already beaten 2 of them in the Round Robin, which might be vital in any deciding countback.
In the Cross Country Skiing Team Sprint, GBR Men - Andrew Musgrave and James Clugnet finished an excellent 5th in an event where our best previous best was 12th.
