Well done Sara Cox. 5 days, 135 miles and change in some of the worst weather that November can throw at you across Northumberland, Durham and Yorkshire. A fine lassie from Lancashire if ever I saw one, honorary Yorkshire lass of the week, and what kind of so and so made her go up Old Pool Bank right at the end? I've had old bangers that have struggled to get up there, not to mention a few cars.
She can eat as many black puddings for breakfast from Bury Market (I know she's for Bowton) as she can stuff down her face in the morning, though I doubt she will. More likely to be crumpets.
Yes, I donated to the cause.
Though typical BBC to then send her down a back road to a little known golf club that nobody could get to, for the finish. Poor lass must have been underwhelmed by the dozens allowed in to the car park and the club house when she could have done a few hundred yards more and finished in the middle of Pudsey where everyone could have got to. I guess the Town Hall staff wanted to get away early, it being Friday and all that.

A guide to real ale
“In the best pubs, you can spend entire afternoons deep in refreshment without a care in the world.”
