This weekend we've more points on offer as the RL Grand Final takes place at Old Trafford. If it rains we may get to see some of the now world famous Salford water features as well as some rugby. Wigan play Hull KR on Saturday. If The Robins win they take all 3 titles and all of us get didly squat from all the RL Egg Chasing predictions. If Wigan win it's pies all round for some of us. Mushy peas, mint sauce and gravy with mine please.
In the Rounders for Fat Blokes, The Blow Jays blew the Noo Yark Yankees away in 4 games, the last two in The Bronx in the American League. It could have been done and dusted in 3 but they blew a 6-1 lead to lose 9-6 in the third game. Deeetroit and Seattle play a decider tonight, being tied at 2-2. The winner plays at Toronto for the first two games of the AL Championship. In the National League, The Dodgers came up with a similar 3-1 win over the Phillies and the Cubbies and the Brewers are also tied 2-2. Their final decider will be played tomorrow and the winners will also have home field advantage.
The FIM have announced the 15 main riders for next seasons Speedway Grand Prix. 7 had qualified from their positions this season and 5 from winning other National/European Championships. 3 wild cards were also handed out including one to Tai "Wolfy" Woffinden, who has hardly raced this season. He had a horrrendous crash at the start of the season which broke more than just a few of his bones and saw him in an induced coma in hospital for a while.

The 16th rider and reserves for each meeting are announced prior to each meeting.
World Cup Qualifiers and friendly games are taking place in order to get a place at next years Soccaball World Final Series. Tuchel is already getting touchy about the fans, and his perceived lack of atmosphere, at Wemberlee. This won't end well. You'd have thought by now he'd have worked out that he picks the team and the tactics, not the fans. It was a friendly that was done and dusted in 15 minutes. Was he expecting another 75 minutes of conga's in the stands while nothing much else happened on the pitch?
7 of the 12 original games scheduled for Saturday in League One will take place - none include Yorksha League fixtures.
In the NHL, the Pond Hockey has started again this week in the never ending quest for Lord Stanley's Shaving Mug. As is typical of North American sports they don't keep things simple. So you have a Western Conference and an Eastern Conference. That's all fairly straightforward. Then In the Western Conference you have a Pacific and a Central Division, and looking at the teams in each it more or less makes sense but then you go to the Eastern Conference ...
. There's an Atlantic Division and something called the Metropolitan Division. How they drew lots for this beggars belief. There's more teams that are from cities on the Atlantic Coast in the Metropolitan Division than there are in the Atlantic Division. Only in America can they screw up a sport that started in Canada.
