Pol Valentín will miss this fixture after being substituted with a hamstring injury against Bristol City. Manager Paul Heckingbottom hasn’t put a timeframe on his recovery, which he hopes will be as quick as possible.

Daniel Jebbison was absent on Saturday through illness and is likely to be back available at the MKM Stadium.

Brad Potts, Jordan Thompson, Robbie Brady and Will Keane remain out.

The Hosts

Following the departure of Ruben Selles in the summer, Sergej Jakirović has taken the reins at Hull City and they’ve accumulated eight points from their opening seven league matches.

The Tigers have picked up some good results on home turf so far this season, coming out 3-1 winners over Southampton and putting another three past Oxford United in a victory.

There’s likely to be a familiar face within the Hull City side, with Liam Millar returning to the bench last weekend after almost 12 months out through an ACL injury.

Match Officials

Referee: Josh Smith
Assistant Referees: Sam Lewis and Johnathon Bickerdike
Fourth Official: Anthony Backhouse

Josh Smith, who has refereed PNE more than any other club, will take charge of Tuesday night’s match.

Smith was incidentally the man in the middle for North End’s meeting with Hull at Deepdale last season, when Brad Potts’ goal earned victory.

So far this term, Smith has refereed five matches, showing 15 yellow cards and one red.

We’ve Met Before
Brad Potts earned North End a Boxing Day victory over Hull City at Deepdale last season.
Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
