Huddersfield Town travel to Wetherby Road to play Harrogate Town on Tuesday night for the second game in our Vertu Trophy campaign. It's the second group match for both sides. Town beat Newcastle's under 21 team 6-2 and the Sulphurites won away at Mansfield Town by one goal to nil, a second minute penalty converted by Mason Bennett, the ex Derby striker who was involved in the infamous car crash incident with Richard Keogh.

Tickets: An allocation of 1,056 tickets, with 147 reserved seated tickets, and 903 unreserved standing tickets. Also included in the allocation are three set of wheelchair and companion tickets.

Pay on the Day will be confirmed closer to the fixture date.

Away supporters must choose the correct stands which are: The Barclay LED Away Stand (Standing), PIB Insurance Away Stand (Standing) & The Kitching Plant Hire Away Stand (Seated).

Harrogate Town in the EFL Trophy: This will be their fifth Trophy campaign which started in 2020 after their promotion to the Football League. Their first venture started in the Papa John's Trophy, going out in the group stage following a draw at Grimsby (lost on pens), a win over Leicester City's u21s and a defeat at home to Hull City.

The next season saw them progress to the quarter finals. They finished second behind Sheffield Wednesday in the group, which gave them an away tie at Tranmere Rovers. They won that 2-1 and then followed that with a 1-0 win at home to Carlisle United. They then went out of the tournament in a 1-0 defeat away at Sutton United.

The 2022/23 season saw them go out in the group stage again, but very unluckily on goals scored, after they finished with the same points and goal difference as Morecambe.

The next season, in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, had them out in the goup stage again, with their only success being a 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest u21s. And last season as well, they went out without winning a game.
