Eastleigh have sacked manager Kelvin Davis and his assistant Danny Butterfield.

The decision comes after the National League side lost for the third time in five games, leaving the Spitfires 16th in the table.

Their 3-1 loss at home to Braintree Town on Saturday was their fifth in nine league games this season.

The former Southampton goalkeeper had led Eastleigh to three wins in four games in August, but his side have taken one point from their last three matches.

"We would like to thank Kelvin and Danny for their commitment and efforts for the club during their tenure at the club and we wish them both all the best for the future," a statement released by the club, external read.

Davis was appointed in February 2024 and led the club to a 13th-placed finish at the end of his first season in charge.

Last term the club were again 13th - winning 14 and losing 15 of their 46 league games as they finished nine points off the play-off places.
Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
