Carabooboo Round 3 - Huddersfield Town v Manchester City

We have a visit from one of the BIG FOUR on Wednesday although not that they're seeing much of the top of the table so far.

We're somehow still in 5th despite a couple of disappointments. It's never good to lose to Bradford and we should've expected more against Burton. Having just watched the highlights, I struggle to see how we didn't score.

Our best record against them comes before they hit the big time.

In the years since they've been throwing obscene amounts of money at it, we don't have a great record against them. Although, we did manage to hold them to a draw in the first leg of our FA Cup tie in 2016/17 season and once in the Premier League in 2017/18 season.
Having seen off credible opposition in the form of Leicester and Sunderland, this is undoubtedly our biggest challenge, despite City's less than lofty position. If we can get them to a penalty shoot-out, I don't see why we can't do it. Unfortunately, I think that our ship will have sailed.

Whether we'll see any of that lot, I don't know. I don't know much, to be fair. I do know that I have an irrational dislike of Erling Haaland. I shout abuse at him even if I just see him. Long, lanky streak of ****, pinhead and other insults come forth. I know I once asked if there was a team that you irrationally disliked but do you have a player that fans your flame for no reason other than they exist?

There's quite a list of those who have played for both;

Tommy Smith And Demeaco Duhaney both had youth careers at Man City. Lee Croft and Luke Mbete had brief loan spells with us.

Then there are Denis Law, Aaron Mooy, Andy Morrison, Mark Lillis, Harry Bunn (missing from pic - see below) and Ishmael Miller, all of which I'd say are well thought of by us.

Right, Pepe and co, you're at 'Uddersfield now, no prawn sandwiches and prosecco for you.
Because of this film, I always call Pep "Pepe"
Another favourite scene is where Peter Butterworth as Pepe is trying to tell Hattie Jacques as his wife, Floella, how to use the range. It's no bloodin' good, Pepe! Which, funnily enough, is a thought he's has himself many a time last year and this.

In fact, it's left him scratching his head.
