Shrewsbury Town have signed former Charlton striker Chuks Aneke on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old links up with Shrews boss Michael Appleton for a second time after playing under him at Charlton where he scored 27 goals in 138 appearances over two spells.
Aneke came through the youth ranks at Arsenal where he made one substitute appearance in the League Cup in 2011, and had loan spells at Stevenage, Preston and Crewe before joining Belgian side Waregem in 2014.
A move back to England with MK Dons two years later brought him 30 goals in 84 league appearances before free transfers to Charlton (twice) and Birmingham.
"I worked with the gaffer at Charlton and we had a good time there, got to know each other and he got in contact," Aneke told the club website, external.
"I like to score goals, I like to get assists, I like to be creative, and I like to influence games."
Shrewsbury beat Barnet on Saturday for their first win of the season in League Two and sit 21st.
