Use the backspace key on the keyboard (next to the M or m key usually) after placing the pointer at the back end of the text where you want to start deleting from.
If you manage to use a mouse with an adapter if you need one, you can highlight the text you want to delete the same way you can on a laptop or desktop and delete it all in one go with the backspace key. Or you might get a pop-up prompt to delete what you highlighted.
