90 plus points last season and sacked

York City have parted company with manager Adam Hinshelwood with immediate effect.

The 41-year-old joined the Minstermen in February 2024 having previously managed Worthing.

He guided the club to safety later that season and then to second place last season, missing out on automatic promotion to League Two by six points.

Hinshelwood departs the club despite York's unbeaten record in the National League this season, with three draws and one victory from their four games.

His final game in charge was Monday's 1-1 draw at Woking.

First team coach Cam Morrison will also leave the club, while assistant boss Gary Elphick will take over on a temporary basis, with a new manager to be announced in due course.
Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?
